Patrick Mahomes on playing in the Pro Bowl

After a painful exit from the postseason, Patrick Mahomes is already focusing on the next season. But before that comes the Pro Bowl. The NFC and AFC All-Stars game took place last night. Mahomes was representing the AFC with five other Kansas City Chiefs teammates.

The American Football Conference won the Pro Bowl this year. Even after his side won, Mahomes Performance was not the greatest. These days players just go out to have fun in the all-star game. Nobody takes it too seriously. Patrick was laidback as well. He only completed 2 of his 6 passes for 21 yards before he did an in-game interview.

Mahomes talked to ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters. Salters asked him about missing the Super Bowl and playing the Pro Bowl instead. “Yeah, I mean, it still hurts,” said the Chiefs QB. “You want to be in that Super Bowl, but you enjoy this. It’s an honor to be in the Pro Bowl, and so to be able to be in the Pro Bowl with a lot of my teammates, see their families, it’s a good way to cap off the season for us.” Mahomes enjoyed his time in the game and celebrated the win.

Mahomes is still not over the championship loss to the Bengals

The ESPN reporter then moved on to talk about if Mahomes is over the title loss. “I’m still not over it,” Mahomes said. “I don’t think I’ll be over it until we’re in another Super Bowl. I’ll have to use that as motivation moving forward.”

Patrick Mahomes is going to take the loss in a positive way and motivate himself to do better. The 26-year-old quarterback still has a lot of game left in him. The Chiefs will be hungry for the title next season.
