Tom Brady’s retirement from the National Football League lasted for a little more than a month. Sunday night, the 44-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced his return to the franchise for the 2022 season.
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm

Brady’s dad, Tom Sr., spoke about his son’s decision on Sunday night.
Tom Brady Sr. tells me his son felt “pressured by outside forces” to make earlier decision to walk away. Was looking forward to golf with his son but “excited” he’ll play again. Hear more from our conversation on #7News tonight. pic.twitter.com/dkrZtgLFlF
