Former Packers Exec Thinks Aaron Rodgers Could Leave After 2022

Aaron Rodgers is returning to the Green Bay Packers for at least the 2022 season. But according to former NFL executive Andrew Brandt, this will be the superstar quarterback’s “Last Dance” with the organization he’s called home for 18 seasons.

“Joined old friend @richeisen about Aaron, QB carousel. Told him that unless contract indicates differently (which I don’t think it will), the Aaron decision is a one-year Last Dance,” Brandt wrote on Twitter. Prior to the 2021 season, many analyst had the same take about Rodgers’ most recent campaign with the Packers.

But despite heavy speculation that the back-to-back league MVP could be on his way out of Green Bay, he announced his commitment to return earlier this week. Contract details for Rodgers’ new deal have not yet been made available to the public.

Once these details are released, we’ll have a much better idea of how long the 38-year-old QB wants to stay put in Green Bay. Whether it’s for one more season or many, Packers fans a no doubt thrilled to have their superstar leader back at Lambeau in 2022.
