Brett Favre, err, Tom Brady, announced his decision to come out of retirement and play another season in the National Football League on Sunday night. Brady, 44, was retired for about 40 days.
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm

At least Brett Favre could retire for more than two months

Brady’s decision comes on the verge of free agency. Surely, he wanted to announce his decision in a timely manner, so his Bucs teammates would be aware prior to making their free agency calls.
All that talk about how Brady retired like such a consummate pro with zero fanfare and no drama, and before we even made it to goddam St Patricks Day he’s back. Makes Brett Favre look like he had strong convictions.

The decision by the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback has people thinking about Brett Favre, too. Favre infamously retired and un-retired multiple times.

Hey, do what you want to do, Tom Brady. The National Football League is much better with you in it than out of it, that is for sure.
