Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley seem to be exploring the potential for reconciling after their breakup. Days after the two were spotted out at breakfast together, Entertainment Tonight reports that Rodgers and Woodley are seeing where things go together.
“Shailene and Aaron broke up after the two spent a lot of time apart and couldn’t make it work,” the source said. “Aaron had told Shailene he’ll put more effort into the relationship and making her a priority. The two have been spending more time together recently and will see what the future holds.”
News of Rodgers and Woodley’s ended engagement broke last week. A source close to the former couple told People, “They fell hard and fast, but it was a mismatch from the start. Aaron’s a complicated guy. No one in their circle is surprised this didn’t work out.
In the bubble of the pandemic, it was easy for them to fall in love and focus only on their relationship but that’s not real life.” A source told Us Weekly that Rodgers prioritized football over Woodley, and it caused issues for them. “He was focusing more on the sport than on future plans with Shailene,” the source said.
Rodgers posted a public tribute to Woodley on Monday that she did not respond to publicly—his first comment on her since news of his split and a very adoring statement, to boot.
He wrote to her, “@shailenewoodley, thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life.
Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you.” He went on to publicly apologize to her on Tuesday for his NFL COVID vaccine misinformation controversy.
